The Rapp’s world was turned upside down in April of 2011, when Jack was diagnosed with leukemia.
Jack is husband to Heather, and dad to Alyssa, Mason, Zander, and Daxton. It was a devastating diagnosis for their family, but after 4 months of chemo, Jack’s cancer went into remission. With only a 5% relapse rate for this type of cancer, there was relief on the horizon, the Rapps started to move forward with life. Just two weeks after one full year of remission, blood tests and a bone marrow biopsy revealed that Jack’s leukemia was back.
Now, Jack faces a bone marrow transplant, two months in the hospital, two or three months of isolation at home, and then several more months after that before he can go back to work.
You can imagine the financial burden this situation places on the family. As those who love this family and want to help, we’ve put together this fundraiser. Please attend Bidding Against Leukemia on Friday, December 7, 2012.
